Paula Scher and the Geography of Design

September 25, 2009

Paula Scher of Pentagram  speaks of her love for NY, as a diverse and exciting place to live and as an influence in her extraordinary work. Scher discusses the influence of New York City, its architecture, and especially its noise (the yelling!) on her design and typography. It’s a different take on how location influences one’s choices. Being an ex-New Yorker I found value in some of Paul’s points, in my case I’ve chosen differently, yet I have the utmost respect for her and her work.
